BIAWAK         ISSN: 1936-296X

Biawak is the official peer-reviewed journal of the IVIG. Published quarterly, Biawak publishes original articles and notes which pertain to the biology and captive husbandry of monitor lizards, as well as book reviews, historical accounts, veterinary reports, innovative techniques, bibliographies, commentaries, translations, and digests of current varanid research.

New issues of Biawak are available for download by IVIG members. Full-length articles are also available for individual download from this website. Biawak is currently indexed by the Directory of Open Access Journals, the Zoological Record, and Thompson Biology Browser database.

All enthusiasts, regardless of educational or scientific backgrounds, are encouraged to contribute to Biawak. Papers published in Biawak are of a semi-technical to non-technical nature. Before submitting a manuscript, please consult the Author's Guidelines for proper styling and formatting.
